My work unfolds between the familiar and the ambiguous, bringing opposing forces into tension. I explore subtle states where the familiar shifts from its stable foundation and becomes fragmented, asking what exists beyond the visible, what remains when things start to break apart.

Porcelain and ceramic sculpture are central to my practice. I am drawn to porcelain for its delicate body and chemical composition, but also for its historical associations with status and value. Working with porcelain, I bring together contrasting aspects of high and low, the earthly and the otherworldly, the refined and the fractured. I explore how these contradictions can coexist within the same material and form.

Processes of growth, fragmentation, erosion, distortion and regeneration recur throughout my work, while material behaviour and unexpected accidents can influence its direction. Over the years, my practice has developed across different media, from sculpture and installation to drawing, photography, video, performance and sound.

I hold an MA in Fine Art from Aalto University, Finland, and an MA in Porcelain and Glass from the National Academy of Art, Bulgaria. My work has been presented internationally, including at New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum, Taiwan; Helsinki Art Museum's HAM Gallery; the World Ceramic Biennale, South Korea; and the Casablanca Biennale.
